Arabic is the 5th most widely spoken language in the world, being the official language of more than 20 countries and with reaching a number of 300 million native speakers. The majority of Arabic speakers are concentrated in the Middle East, but there are minority groups of native speakers around the world. It is one of the 5 official languages of the United Nations, as well as the official language of the Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the African Union.

The Arabic heritage is one of the richest heritages in the world? It is a unique world: its music, art, history, literature, cuisine, and way of life. For example: belly dancing, calligraphy, maybe you have read 1001 Nights, and you may have tasted some popular Middle Eastern dishes such as hummus or falafel, tagine, couscous.

Did you know that Arabic-speaking peoples contributed greatly to world culture? Arab peoples have exported and lent many concepts, cultural practices and products to various languages: algebra was invented by Arab mathematicians in medieval times. In addition, commodities such as coffee and cotton came from the Arab world, as did jasmine, lemon, veterinarian, alcantara and the Arab lime.

Those who study Arabic will have many job opportunities in different fields: journalism, commerce and industry, education, finance and banking, ministry of justice, national audience, consulate, translation and interpretation, consulting, foreign service and intelligence, and many others.

Arabic is considered a language of strategic importance. Knowing Arabic promotes intercultural understanding, makes us understand and know in a deep way the cultural, political and religious aspects, etc. Those of us who know or are learning Arabic can bridge the cultural and linguistic gap between nations, can understand, resolve and deal with cross-cultural conflicts and successfully participate in international trade.
